Chai Tea Recipe

Perfect on a COLD day.

It will warm you from the inside out, it stimulates the digestive fire, and provides a boost of energy. Those with sleep or anxiety challenges should enjoy a warm cup of herbal tea with similar spices. Write for suggestions.



Step One: Crush 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds, 4 tbsp Cardamom pods, 1-2 Cinnamon sticks, 4 whole cloves, 1 vanilla bean and 1/2 tsp black peppercorn, and grind them all together.

Step Two: Boil 2 cups water with 1 tsp. finely chopped fresh or dried Ginger, 1/8 tsp Allspice powder, 1/8 tsp Anise powder, 1 tsp Licorice root, and
all the ground ingredients from above.

Step Three: Let simmer for 5 minutes. Then add 1/2 cup of milk, or milk alternative, and bring to a low boil. Make sure to stir throughout so as not to burn it.

Step Four: Strain, and add your favorite sweetener, if desired. Maple Syrup, honey, or raw sugar are best.

Step Five: Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
